B2B vs. B2C: Blogging and Leads by Bay Area Inbound Marketing in SF

Bay Area Inbound specializes in Lead Generation for technology companies. The first advice we give our clients who want to increase their leads is to blog.  We have seen it work for ourselves and all of our clients. And clearly we are not alone.

In a study of 4,000 companies, Hubspot (#2 Fastest Growing Software Company WW), discovered a strong correlation between blogging and leads generated by B2B and B2C companies

  • B2B businesses who blogged just 16 to 20 times per month got 3 times more leads than those who didn’t blog.
  • B2C businesses who blogged just 16 to 20 times per month got over 4 times more leads than those who didn't blog.
  • Businesses with over 200 total blog articles got 4.6 times more traffic than those with under 20 blog posts.

By blogging you will increase traffic, and by using calls-to-action and educational offers you will capture leads (usually at a 2.6% rate in the beginning). So the most important thing to do in the beginning is to blog to raise your rank authority by increasing page density, blog properly for targeted keywords people will use while searching for your services or products. Include graphics with proper alt tags, and include the proper tag words, meta keywords and meta description.
